XC RACE

XC Race is a bike that we were testing extremely intensive during the past year with the help of Wouter Cleppe, and which helped mu to win many podiums on the CX and XC scene. The model is assembled on carbon fibers frame with only 1.15 kg of weight for M size. The stiffness of the frame is supported by the use of press fit BB, which allows the support of the bearings of the BB to be on wider basis of 92mm instead of 73, which helps in improving the pedaling efficiency. The fork RockShox SID RCT3 is new generation with FastBlack finish on the stanchions reducing the friction and improving the overall performance of the fork, three compression positions open/pedal/close. The drive train is the SRAMs X1 with cassette 10-42 and 32 teeth chain ring using the X-SYNC technology with narrow and wide teeth which working in combination with the type 2 rear derailleur with X-HORIZON technology, ends in extremely smooth and fast shifting system. Of course every high end bike needs decent pair of wheels, and in our case the 1585 g NoTubes Crest, which are tubeless and allows riding with lower pressure in the tires, resulting in higher traction and comfort. The tubeless ready tires of MAXXIS are also with triple compound. For the braking force the bike counts on the Avids X0, and the cockpit is made of carbon fiber components of KORE.

One Мan Аssembly Process

one-man-assembly-ram

The so-called “One Мan Аssembly” process is a key-stone for the quality of every RAM Bike you see on the trails or in the city parks. Every single bike is being delivered to the dealer completely assembled and ready-to-go, with brakes and gears all set. You don’t have to do additional settings – bike components are not just attached to the frame, but assembled by a person, who is a passionate biker and knows the price of good work. In RAM factory we do even more – every mechanic guarantees with his name and signature for his works’ quality.

The final result is a bike that entirely responds to a biker’s attitude – not only looking as a MTB, but it is a Real Adventure Machinery. “One man assembly” is a time and resource- consuming process contrary to usual bike producing, but the difference is fully in favours of biker who chose RAM.

Hand Crafted Wheels

hand-crafted-wheels

The process of hand lacing wheels is a key stone in our philosophy – individual attention to every wheel on every bike. The whole process is focused on a careful selection of details (spokes), and using only reliable components to avoid any failure of the wheel.

Pressure of every spoke in going under strict control during the whole wheel-building process. The main purpose is that – pressure should be optimized on the entire rim constantly – the goal achieved is longer life of the wheel and reducing repairing works on it after many miles on the tracks.

This process of “wheels lacing” takes up to one more hour of the mechanics’ work, but it gives you value – your RAM is more durable, even on the hardest rocky tracks!
